2 Pedestrians Seriously Injured in Victorville Crash on New Year’s Eve

Car Hits and Injures Man and Woman Near Mojave Drive and Condor Road in Victorville

Victorville, California (January 3, 2017) – A man and a woman were hospitalized Saturday night after they were struck by a vehicle in the 15800 block of Mojave Drive in Victorville, according to a police report.

The accident took place at about 10:30 p.m. when a 2013 Nissan Versa hit two pedestrians near the intersection of Mojave Drive and Condor Road.

The two pedestrians sustained major injuries in the crash. The woman was rushed to Victor Valley Global Medical Center in Critical by Stable condition. She was transferred to Loma Linda University Medical Center.  The man was also taken to Victor Valley Global Medical Center in stable condition.

Initial investigation reports stated that the two pedestrians ran southbound across the road and came directly into the path of the Nissan Versa which was traveling westbound on Mojave and approaching Condor.

The driver was unable to stop the vehicle in time and struck the two pedestrians.

The authorities closed Mojave Drive between Topango Road and Village Drive for several hours as investigators documented the incident.

The incident remains under investigation.
